Exclamation Error message - fatal Tapatalk function

Good morning all,

I am aware of the problem where members are encountering a fatal error message relating to Tapatalk when using the forum.
This problem is affecting all aspects of the site (posting, viewing, editing and/or sending PMs) and appears to be a direct function call out for Tapatalk, even if you aren't using Tapatalk...well, particularly when you aren't using it, which is causing a fatal error, thus the message.

ETA: If you draft a PM, hit send and then get the error message, the PM still goes thru best I can tell!

I see several members have also posted threads in the Forum Webmaster section about it...
Also a thread in Ask CMP.
I will address in the morning with admin folks. More to follow...

Rob

Didn't see this thread Big Red; and just tried to make thread in WebMaster sub-board.

Got errors, don't know if thread posted or not?

Fatal error: Call to undefined function tapatalk_push_reply() in /home/thecmp/public_html/forums/includes/functions_newpost.php(623) : eval()'d code on line 6

Did any Americans STOP waving their US Flags on /09/11/01, because their arms were tired from waving it on 09/10/01?

Exclamation

All,
Support ticket has been submitted for the Tapatalk error message.
They are also looking into the thread subscription email update issue as everything shows good on CMP's end as well.

Yes sir, I see where there are 2 threads submitted by you there. Many threads posted in that section and too many to answer individually.
Even though folks are getting the error message, the action (reply, post send a PM) is still occurring.

Regards,
Rob

BR, does CMP have stats on how many posters actually utilize tapatalk? Is it truly worth keeping around?

to those that don't use it, we say 'who cares' (grinning)

But I think you would surprised at the number of folks who ONLY use their phones for forums and also IPad or other smaller devices that can use Tapatalk...

I use an ipad, but never thought it too small to simply use a web browser. If I am somewhere that I only have my phone with me I have yet to feel compelled to browse forums.

The reason I asked BR if they had the stats on how many users was to find out such things.
