Yeah . . .I did . . . . .

I noticed in the description, it led one to believe that the receiver ring was d&td AFTER the rifle left the warehouse . . . . Not so!

ALL M70s had the RING d&td from the get-go . . . . .

It was the BRIDGE that was NOT d&td originally.

The National Infantry Museum has 10s of thousands of artifacts. Only a few thousand may be on display at a time. And they do have a pretty slick exhibit covering the entire evolution of the M16 from the late 50's through the present, I haven't checked the specific serials that are in that display, there are 8-12 rifles from the early AR 10 through the latest M4s.
