Never had this problem with mine. One of my all time favorites. I have to really strain my normal front arm position to get it under there. Oh, and never noticed any major issue with power spray either.

I would have to place the dishonor of my worst purchase on the Baikal MP18 12 ga. single shot shotgun I bought back in mid 1970's. This shotgun really had, IMO, good looks, and balance but, that thing kicked me harder than any other firearm I've ever owned. I gave it to one of my brother's who in turn sold it for the same reason. The person that bought it I've been told, sold it also.

That shotgun had a thicker than normal bbl, much thicker than the bbl that's on the 10 ga H&R I used to have and, the recoil was much worse with the Baikal than the H&R. My son-in-law now has it. After shooting those .50 cal rifles, that 10 ga isn't much at all for him.

I bought from Monkey Ward a Westernfield .22 autoloader circa 1967 made by Savage. After less than a brick of rounds fired through it, it malfunctioned major time. MW took it back and gave me an autoloader made by Mossburg.

I still have it but have to stretch the spring now and again to get the bolt to close all the way during cycling.
