Default Most Unusual Firearm in your Collection

Mine is a VZ-52

Thought for years that this was a Grenada bring back, did not see the very light import stamp until I completely disassembled it.

Lost my Grenada capture right before I left the Country... this one was bought because of all the other stuff I brought back..

very cool Darryl

I bought a 1940 (toggle marked 42 - code for Mauser) that I bought as a reblued gun

bought it while in Iraq, when I got back, I opened the box and was surprised to see that there was a note from the owner, it had the bring back paperwork and a note from the guys son; that his dad had reblued it and it shot great. Its a keeper in my collection.

Great idea for a thread.

Mine .. A Nazi Germany K98 Mauser capture rifle, converted to 7.62 Nato by Israel.

So this one has both the Nazi Eagle and Star of David stamped on it. Supposedly these rifles were smuggled into Israel with the help of the Irish Republican Army.

Now that is Cool... You would have thought that they would have ground the Nazi marks off ASAP....

Yep, well, they did peen over the eagle, but the top of the head and tips of the eagle wings are still visible.

KZ 1000 ... those really ARE different, unusual. I'd think for their time they were space age / giant leap forward?
