No personal experience here but from previous threads I've seen, POF has a spotty history in other calibers, however the .30-06 seems to be OK so far. The surplus that's out there is non-magnetic which is nice. They claim its non-corrosive but I have not seen anyone test it one way or another. (That's the only reason I haven't bought any of it yet). It is berdan primed so not Reloadable.

I have not heard 1 pos report on that ammo. The berdan primer is enough to be a deal wrecker

I shot a bunch in 7.62x51 several years ago. I believe the stuff I had was late 70's dated. It was decent ammo. Reliable but not particularly accurate. Came in very nice 20 rd cardboards, really heavy and durable, that I'm still using for handloads. I've heard very bad things about their .303 brit, nothing about their 30-06. I would assume it is corrosive regardless of what you hear.

Have some POF 303 brass I picked up. Don't shoot 303 and it is berdan but I suffer from OBCD and brought it home (even have 8mm berdan, and I don't shoot that either). Guy shooting it had at least 1/3 of the box fail to fire. Polaris is right, boxes are really neat, these were 32 round.

I have a can of POF 7.62x51. Shoots great, seems a bit dirty, not sure as I clean after shooting. MilSpec, hits the target (not used in a match!). For what I paid it is a great deal.
I have had some verrrry bad 303, not sure if it was POF, didn't matter as it had been poorly stored, that was obviously the (or most of) problem. Maypops, delaypops, and all sorts of entertainment..... JH |

Haven't shot the .30-06, but I do have some POF in .308WIN. Tried it in my M14. Nothing spectacular, but nothing really wrong with it other than I thought it was a little hot for the rifle. I therefore will be using it in my .308 Garand as that should not be an issue.

LuckyGunner has Pakistani Surplus M1 Garand ammo at a pretty good price. Is anybody familiar with it? Good or bad?
