That's a great looking pistol. I'd count that as a score.

Very nice! A Springfield armory rebuild. Looks pretty original, just worn a bit, Colt made their own barrels, the HS barrel is a armory swap.

Nice, I'm 11,180ish, so maybe their's hope yet!

Congrats!

I checked my 1911 with an M3 shoulder holster and leather rides too high for that wear pattern.

I chuckle through a lot of this video...
Will you jump through hoops for a CMP 1911?

Reproductions are just CMP wannabes. My thanks to anybody who bailed on sending in a packet because of such a video and upped my chances of getting one.

Les Baer, Doug Turnbull, Colt reproduction compared to worn-out-by-history CMP 1911? No comparison. If my CMP 1911 - should they get to my number - sat in a desk drawer somewhere during WWII or all it's life, it's still a bit of American history that came off the production in service of defense of this country, not just a fancy, shiny, new production 1911 that exists just to assuage civilian demand in 2019.

YouTube comments are often terrible, but there are some particularly bad ones in there. Goodness, people will get chapped over nothing.

Isn't that the truth. I just read some of them. Never seen such a collection of butthurt ignorance in my life.
