Mosin arrived. These are pics before cleaning anything. Rifle and all parts were wrapped in some sort of wax paper? The canvas between the 2 scope covers was even wrapped! Then everything was wrapped with bubble wrap. No rust; cosmo all over. Original finish on the wood, bore very bright, reciever, bolt, and buttplate match; scope mount and mag bottom are forced matched, scope is clear, all adjustments work. You can see on the scope mount where the original number was cleaned off and replaced the the new matching number. Scope number matches number on reciever, so it has it's original scope. Will be fun at the range. It came as advertized. I'm happy with it.

Bob, totally your fault that i ordered one yesterday. LOL Later in the day, at a match some kid told me all current imports are fake. Super. I do not think he is totally right. Anybody sure how real these are?

He is wrong. These rifles have been checked out by several experts who have established they are genuine. They are certainly refurbs - and generally mixmasters, just like M1 carbines - but not fakes.

How to annoy somebody at a rifle match.

Overhear a conversation where it’s mentioned a Mosin Sliper was just ordered. Butt in; ask where it was purchased from. Upon hearing, and with an excited voice and a bit of a grin, announce confidently that it’s a fake.

Then of course, try to continue the conversation; ignoring all signs the conversation is over.

That a very nice looking rifle Bob.

My PU Sniper made it this evening. The numbers match on the buttplate, bolt, receiver, magazine, and scope mount. The bore is pristine and the crown shows little or no wear at all. The blueing is in beautiful shape the wood still has the shellac on it. There are a bunch of x's that are lined out on the receiver and above that is where the scope number is stamped. The optics are extremely clear. Overall I think I did well on this one. Let me know what ya'll think. Pics are below.
