Default Got a surprise today

My son bought a very nice M1 Grand about a month ago but needed clips .
So my son and i start look in my old ammo cans . I found two full ammo cans of ARMOR PIERCING in bandoleers . I had bought this at an auction sale years ago and had never opened most of the ammo cans . The ammo looks like new and the smell when I opened the can was great . At the time the ammo sold in a lot of six cans and I did look at the one that was open to see .
That can that was open was M2 Ball in Clips so I thought it must all be ball ammo .

Nice surprise. Keep digging to see what else may be in your closet.

AP ammo has no special value for me, but it does to some. Make sure your ammo is non corrosive (any WW2 is corrosive) or follow proper cleaning procedures. I will not shoot corrosive, tracer or AP in any of my rifles....period. Good Shooting. ...

M25 is really no different than Ball M2. The long bearing surface on AP M2 disagrees with you apparently, but the jacket is softer. But agree not for match rifles. Plinkers only.

TW switched to noncorrosive primers in 1952. Yours is noncorrosive. Good shooting.
