Alas the state dept. is infested with to many hold overs from the previous administration. So ... all those nice rifles will end up somewhere else ... but not the good ole USA. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

"optic + accessories" $$$$$$$$ Guess we will have to watch Ebay.

BTW--A few years back some pics were posted of an Italian M1D rig and it was packed in a very cool fitted transit case/box.

Can you be more specific about policy or regulations?

Under the GCA, any firearms containing parts produced by or for the US military or produced with US military assistance requires a retransfer authorization from the State Dept to be imported, on top of the usual Form 6.

Ok, thank you. It would seem to be a possibility then. Luck of who processes the request? Then, I maybe putting words into your post. Not my intention.

I hope they do come in. I dont know if I would be willing to pay the tarrif. I do appreciate that getting mounts and scope with the gun will run up the price. Then buying without that stuff can be even more costly all done and maybe with a good dose of aggravation or grief along the way.

As far as I know, a retransfer authorization hasn't been issued for US surplus firearms to be imported to the US in over 20 years.

I don't think believe the tariff is that high, on top of the 11% excise tax on rifles.

I see. Then not going to happen. Actually my use of the word 'tarrif' was a local slang expression for cost and only coincidentally applied to this situation. My bad, words matter.
