Default Beautiful 6M HRA Collector Grade Auction 5281

Wow....Any guesses on what this should/will go for?
http://cmpauction.thecmp.org/detail....de-HRA-6034518

Another 6M HRA (mixed parts, CMP replacement stocks, etc.) sold for $4000 over 3 years ago.

The CMP auctions have had some great stuff in recent months.!

I am baffled by some of the numbers that the CMP auctions get up to.

How rare are they? I thought I read around 400 made in the 6M range? Iíve only seen 2 and they werenít for sale.

You purchased a 6 million HRA for $900 in the recent past?

Swung and missed on comparison. Recent one is a 5.6 mil rifle.

Wowza, that is a super cool HRA! Nice tiger striping as well.

That’s the HRA that I found when I volunteered sorting rifles at the south store back in late 14 or early 15. I pulled it out of a huge crate of 100 rifles. I kind of freaked out when I found it. The actual employees were laughing at me because I was geeking out so much over it and had to have my pic taken w/ it. I will look for it and post it later.

6 million+ HRA's are rare, and many seem to have been either for presentation or parts of various finish and chambering experiments. A former D.C.M. rifle I purchased long ago proved to be such a specimen, chambered in 7.62x51, and with a beautifully figured butt stock, similar to this one.

It came from the estate of a deceased veteran, and was still in heavy cosmoline when I acquired it.

Not surprisingly, the markings and (D.C.M.) G.I. paper work still said "Caliber .30".

I think that had shipped from Rock Island in the late sixties or so.
