I can understand the double stamp but i'm never sure what causes the black smears on the serial # ☺

I can make out the serial through the black smear so no harm done. I guess paint is not what it used to be. Lol

Default Double Print Heel Stamp

This has got to be one of those things like the "Inverted Jenny" Postage Stamp. This should not be looked at as a flaw but as added value. Its a near one-of-a-kind. BTW, that postage stamp from 1918 last sold at auction for $1.6 million.
