Default Anyone know where this .308 spacer block came from ?

A metal one for the .308 Garand conversion. Trying to figure out what the C stands for.

"C" mark not often seen, and don't know what that mark stands for. Most common is "BR" which was a Beretta contractor mark. Beretta contract version is a very nicely made part. Here's one source:

I have 2 of those that I put into my Navy Garands. I got them out of a parts drawer at a local gun shop. Mine both have the same C mark. They look to be well made and certainly preform their function well. I am surprised that the US Navy used a plastic piece instead of something more substantial like the die cast metal ones.

I have three of the BR marked version in my blank-fire only rifles. Very solidly made and have not interfered with the function of the rifles at all.

Thanks guys.

Since it's steel and looks identical to the 'BR', I'm guessing the 'C' is an Italian subcontractor.

From the looks of the OP's spacer, I would say "C" stands for 'Cast Copy'...
