Default Gunbroker again, this one is nice, but...

If nothing else it talks up a very nice rifle. It's the real McCoy but still...

Looks exactly like a $1100 "correct grade". Nothing particularly rare about it.

Well, it is a nice looking rifle...but $10k is a lot of money.

I like a good Garand just as much as the next guy, but that is a lot of cheddar!

Your joking, right?

Not a rare serial number, but the condition is obviously exceptional, a step above a $1600 Collector Grade.

Worth $10K? Certainly not to me, since I couldn't shoot it! At least with an issued WWII correct/original rifle, I could get away with sending a few rounds down range without hurting the value.

Always kills me when they charge for shipping, figure it in the price.

any one else go to the old auction site here

http://auction.odcmp.com/auctions/se...ount=10&page=1

attempt to search for auction #1472 - maybe i am doing something wrong but #1472 comes up as a carbine for me - I have also searched on the word "unissued" and come up with only 2 pages of listing, but not this serial #

Shouldn't the CMP cert. say "unissued" or something?

It is worth 10k if shipped in a box with 6 more identical rifles!
