Default Heading to the north store this morning...112213 NS Report.

I'll post a report when I get back, but I'll take a stab at it using my psychic powers:

Lots of SGS, snipers, and a few odd barreled receivers... Anyone need me to check anything?

EDIT:

Rather than starting a new post, I figured I'd just add onto this one. Not much to report that isn't posted below, but for quick reference:

LOTS of HRA SGS. Nothing in the 4.6, 5.4, or 5.7 range, but quite a few in the 4.7, 5.5, and 5.6 range. Nothing with an LMR barrel, and nothing with bad handling damage to the stock. They're so perfect, they're almost boring. If you're looking for a SGS, the selection has probably never been better. I picked out one for a fellow forum member, but didn't get anything for myself, other than a few odd parts (was getting impatient with the E-store!).

LOTS of snipers, all grades other than M1C Rackers.

Most of the M1C had Greek Black Park, and 2 of them had lockbar sights (SA). None of the stocks had WW2 cartouches that I could see, although many were in USGI wood.

There were a few nice rifles in the M1D "lesser" grades. The Rackers all had barrels that ate the muzzle gauge, but the FGs had a few gems. Quite a few in original park; one with original park, an open box SA stock, and a tight muzzle with a ding in it...might be a real catch if you're willing to gamble on a recrown.

I debated most of the day about a particular M1D (photos in thread below)...it had a cut WRA op rod, an IHC stock (heavily sanded), gas trap bolt, correct WW2 trigger group, and a very good barrel (1ME/4TE). The finish was a worn Greek Black that almost looked like an arsenal repark (I thought it was, but Bob assured me it was Greek). I took it up to the counter 3 or 4 times, hemmed and hawed, and finally put it back on the rack...it had a lot going for it, but the Greek repark and sanded stock just didn't make it a sweet enough deal.

I didn't notice many rare parts, other than on the M1D above, but quite a few of the FG M1Ds had WRA gas cylinders...at least 5 of them did. Lots of servicable USGI wood on the snipers, although a lot of it looked so dry I didn't think it was GI until I saw the DAS and proof marks...some sleepers will probably look great after a bath in BLO.

Lots of Daisy rifles, including new ones for $150 (never noticed the new ones in store before).

2 Navy B/R, both with high TE, in the 3 million range (photos below).

One 1903 chromed drill rifle, and a few odd barreled receivers (22s, Krags, 1917s, etc).

The drill rifles don't seem to be the hidden gems they used to be...lots of missing parts, almost all in plastic stocks, and lots with heavy welds in the op rod channel. A couple that could be salvaged, but not sure if it'd be worth it for $345 when all that's recoverable is the receiver and a few odd parts. There was 1 WRA, the rest were SA.

A couple nice M14 stocks, one with stunning tiger striping.

Many of the surplus M1 parts are out of stock...I got the last rear sight cover, but still plenty of stuff to go over. You can't sort through the parts like at the SS, you fill out a list and give it to the counter, and they'll pick them for you.

AP ammo in stock, $110 for 200 rounds, corrosive primers. A few new items, once fired brass and such.

A bin full of Greek leather slings for $5/each...I should have bought a few more, they're great utility slings.

And last, but not least...ONE NM rifle left on the rack. Looks decent, but pricey...

Only if you have time, check the M1C's and see if there are any nice, original finished receivers with the matching serial numbered base.

PM me if you find anything though, don't want the vultures to steal it!

I've got an itch.

Check the B/R! I'd like to know what ones are left, I may get one and throw a new barrel on it.

No M1C with original park/bases, although one has SA lockbars.

An M1D FG with a WRA op rod, gas trap bolt, decent barrel (1+/4), and IHC stock (I think...4 digit # in barrel channel, no "OR") that I'm debating over (it's reparked in worn Greek Black).

No 4.6 or 5.4 SGS...lots of 4.7, 5.5, and 5.6. No 5.7 either. Tags all read 1+/2 or 1/2. No LMR barrels.

A lone chrome 1903, lots of Daisys and odd B/R.

Fwiw, lots of WRA gas cylinders on the M1Ds, esp the FG... There were at least five of them.

They still have AP ammunition, $110/200 rounds.

Two of the M1C have lock bar rear sights... In glorious Greek black...

Updated OP with store report, sorry for the mediocre cellphone photos, didn't lug the camera along this trip, and forgot my gauges to boot!
