Hi Eastlandb1,

The last two times we stopped in to buy a rifle or two & looked at bayonets.
The bayonet quality varied a good bit.
I wound up with a American made, but Turkish Alum.re-gripped bayonet!
in a nice GI scabbard. I had never seen one & a nice GI cut down 16" with a E-US scabbard. Did not have one of them before.

Some were worn & chipped badly, others were really nice.
Sometimes they have a few gems that have not made it to the rack yet.
I asked about a nicer bayonet & the CMP sales person found me a really greasy KEEPER in the bottom of the pile. They put them out, so they may remembered were the JEWELS were kept

.http://estore.thecmp.org/Catalog/Item/PB002 $36 & $42 make sure you order the correct bayonet for your rifle.

Good Luck in your search,
broom

Hi eastlandb1,

Found my bill for the last bayonet & scabbard I bought in Dec 2019 $67 at the south store! I guess there lower priced on line for some reason.

Good Luck,
broom

Don't forget, other than the 16" bayonet, there was two other bayonets for the Garand with different lengths. What you bought I assume was the shorter version shown...

Hi Shomway,

Yes, I bough two of the older WW-2 model. as I had a Korean war version already.

The one I really wanted was a 16" cut to 10". Years ago, I could have picked one up for $5 or $10...... I had NO interest at all, in it!
Now that I'm addicted, I see I NEED a BOWIE knife type tipped blade.

Have a GREAT year,
broom

Default M-4 Leather Handle Bayonet

In April 2019 I purchased two at the South Store for $125.00 each; unissued with scabbard.
