Default Price Increase`

I want to express my disappointment about the ammo price increase. New 30.06 ammo is now cheaper than what CMP is selling old surplus for. What is up with that?

Gordon,
None of us like the increase but please try to remember that ammo sales help support the CMP shooting programs. I just purchased some PPU to try out but will continue to purchase from the CMP in the future. Lets keep the CMP moving forward. Eddie

Thanks for the feedback epm729. I love the CMP and have supported the program for years. I think cmp should bring back $98 cans of HXP or we will buy the new ammo somewhere else.

$1.50/gallon gas would be great 2!

Seriously. If they continue to sell at that price then good for them. It goes to a good cause. I'll shop around and buy based on value. Yes I would love it cheaper but the resellers destroyed that for everybody.

Reconinforce, it looks like gas prices may come back down to that soon. All the more reason for ammo prices to come back down.

CMP will be able to sell ammunition to support shooting programs at their current prices. A lot of people feel the need to support CMP.

If the ammunition won't sell, I have no doubt prices will be reduced a little to encourage buying. Time will tell.

I think that buyers should be informed that new production ammo is now cheaper than the old surplus ammo that cmp sells. With gas prices falling and and the recent elections I see no reason for that.

Why? Most here have figured that out already.
Lower fuel prices have nothing to do with surplus ammunition prices.

No it wouldn't. I can tell you don't live in South Louisiana, or Texas, or Oklahoma....

My company has a national account with UPS. Our rates just increased by 25%. This was the first in my 10 years with the company.
