Default South Store Report 12/20/2018

Personal note: I found my Christmas present at the store and I think its a GEM!! Its an early HRA with ampersand between H&R, not the & symbol, 4667435 USMC rebuild 0-65. I believe it was a rebuild that was never reissued, which has many traits of a USMC rebuild. The stock I believe is USMC with two stamped A, one on pistol grip and other overstamp on proof P, HRA 5-53 barrel, 1+/2+, HRA bolt. It has yellow grease pencil markings with the last three digits of the serial number on the op rod and trigger assembly floorplate which are both SA. I have never personally seen a rifle like this in the last five years I have been doing this report. Rob30.06 will post pictures for me later tonight. I still fail at picture posting on the Forum.

Reminder: The store will be closed Saturday 12/22 until 01/03/2019...

There were 8 customers at opening and the racks were full, 66 rifles. The customers were buyers not lookers. My numbers may be off a little due to customers activity..

Armors today are Buddy and Chris, both new to store.

CMP Specials WRA.308, 8/ IHC, 4, 3 .308 and one 30.06.

SA SGs 20/FG 5. Several rifles with nice cartouches, GAW/JLG beautiful/DAS, lots of nice stocks. Several 6 digits and one 5 digit (24xxx) sold, few original WWII barrels.

IHC SGs 1/ FG 14, all hackberry stocks.

HRA SGs 5, very nice rifles.

M1D SA RG, 1.

Drill M1, 1.

Sling box half full..

Good luck on your searches.

Merry Christmas to all!!!

Tom, I feel that “gem” is a THANK YOU for all that you do for this forum/site. I’m happy that you found another great piece of history. Also its cool that these “unissued” rebuilds are still around for a newer guy like myself. Hope to make it back to the store soon. Maybe in the mean time I might have to take a gamble and submit a mail order.

Wow, a gem indeed, and it goes to a highly deserving fellow who so unselfishly advises the clueless store-wanderers weary from a long drive.
