I called and they said I was NICS delayed. Happens from time to time, but there's no info regarding the e-store as to anything which also happens from time to time.

Probably the fastest I’ve ever received a rifle from CMP. I didn’t get the WWII receiver with matching barrel I’d stickied for but I did get the matching barrel; SA 1/55 date on a SA serial 5818xxx. TE3/MW1. Was a little disappointed to see CMP wood but noticed how tight the rifle was overall, barrel chamber in the white. All parts are correct with the exception of an HRA bolt. My suspicions about a tight rebuild were confirmed when I saw the LEAD 12-65 electropencilled on the keg of the receiver! That’s when I did my little happy dance. . So, opinions; would changing out the stock for a period correct DAS stock hurt the accuracy? The CMP stock fits tight as a tick. I’m looking forward to banging that dayglo orange gong at 550 yards like I once did with a 1955 H&R. Also, how can I tell if it’s a NM barrel? Time period seems correct for an NM and I know it’s unlikely, but this one seems like a serious shooter. Thanks in advance for the advice....

Ordered: RM1FIELD
Mailed, USPS Certified: 11/21/2017
Received at CMP: 11/27/2017 (after an attempted delivery on Black Friday)
DBU email: 11/29/2017
Estore: 11/30/2017
Order#: 7214
Shipped: 12/1/2017 (Friday)
Delivery: 12/4/2017 (Monday)
SN: 1,833,XXX

Considering that Thanksgiving fell in the middle of this and that the ship date was on a Friday, I think the turnaround was great. FedEx threw me for a loop yesterday. I took the day off to sign for it and at 10:29 (delivery was scheduled for 10:30) I got a message that delivery was attempted and no one was home, which was a big fat lie. I called customer service and no sooner than I got off the phone, the truck showed up. I told the driver about the message that I received and he said that he didn't know how that was possible since he had not attempted delivery.

Anyway, I got it and it's a nice one (I think).

Details here....
