Received my one a couple weeks ago. And I'll know what it is on Christmas morning. Funny, I bought a Bren-Dan decades ago at a SoCal gun show. And, not knowing any better I neatly sharpened all edges. It sits in front of the keypad I'm typing on now, out of sight.

Default Midway NOS Bayonets

I received two NOS 1971 contract bayonets today from Midway, both were Conetta. These may have been purchased through a Bren Dan contract but both were definitely made by Conetta.

Thanks for all the replies. I am starting to think that Bren-Dan used a substantial number of leftover Conetta marked parts. I saw the 1971 dated Bren-Dan shipping crates in the Midway pictures, so there is little doubt they were supplied to the army by Bren-Dan. The evidence suggests that Bren-Dan marked M7's may be even rarer than originally thought by collectors, if Bren-Dan was fulfilling a substantial portion of their USGI contract with Conetta marked bayonets.
