Default W. T & B 1918 sling

Picked up this sling from an estate sale yesterday. It looks like a mix of 2 early slings as it has 2 different markings. I know many here will appreciate it. I paid $4 for it.

Your manufacturers are Hewes & Potter (Boston MA.) and Westboro Trunk & Bag Co. (Westboro MA.) I do have a few WW1 slings that are mixed halves (very common) and will take a look. Am sure I have WT&B Co, just not sure which sections.

No, but replacing unserviceable segments was a common practice at pretty much every level after issue. Truthfully I for one don't consider mixed halves as any sort of detriment to the rifle or its value. That is just a piece of the life story of a soldiers weapon.
