Default Oneida 1942 16” Question

I recently picked up an OL 1942 16” . Ordnance Escutcheon is lightly marked on the right ricasso. However the guard has the small ordnance shell as shown in the photos. Do you think this guard is right for this Bayonet? I haven’t seen any similar ones with the shell on the guard.

Yes it is right. I have seen that ordinance mark on several 1942 dated bayonets. I have not seen it on 1943 bayonets.
