That's less than I'm paying for CCI standard velocity. I tried to order some today but the system thinks my club affiliation has expired. Wonder if it will sell out before I can get this fixed?

Default CMP Eley Test Target

I have seen some inquiries as to the performance of this ammo. I received my order today and had the chance to test it. I shoot small bore benchrest and have been looking for a more affordable practice round. The rifle is an Anschutz Model 54 Match with a 26" barrel and a Harrell Tuner. The pictured targets indicate the tuner setting as well as the group size. All groups were 5 shot at 50 yards with a light wind and a temp in the mid 70s.

Target 1 - Just getting the shots on paper.
Target 2 - Tuner set at 305 - Group Size .34"
Target 3 - Tuner set at 280 - Group Size .39"
Target 4 - Tuner set at 255 - Group Size .25" (Just what I was looking for)
so I repeated with the same tuner setting.
Target 5 - Tuner set at 255 - Group Size .65" (So it went from the best group of the lot to the worst group of the lot ????????????) Need to investigate this setting more.
Target 6 - Tuner set at 230 - Group Size .34"
Target 7 - Tuner set at 205 - Group Size .38"
Target 8 - Tuner set at 180 - Group Size .4"
Target 9 - Tuner set at 155 - Group Size .45" (4 in .15")
Target 10 - Tuner set at 130 - Group Size .42"
Target 11 - Tuner set at 105 - Group Size .22" (Nice, so I shot 4 rounds into the remaining targets and hit 1 50 and 3 100s.

All in all, this is one nice batch of cheap Eley practice ammo. Average group size looks like somewhere is the .3s with the best going deep into the .2s. I will be testing more settings and trying to get this gun tuned with this ammo, but for $3.50/bx I don't think you will find any better stuff. Highly recommend and I just ordered another case.

Here is the picture:

Garandman, thanks for the eley ammo review. I have some to try but it's going to be a while for me, I'm a month into recovery from back surgery.

My case arrived today, ordered it on Thursday and received it today, fast delivery.

I ran my lot number on the lot analyzer and mine was listed, pretty neat. It showed a picture of "Eley Club"

Just need the time and a day when it's not raining to test it out.

Overall, I was pleased with it. I finally got to the range a few weeks ago.
I was shooting at a new club that is Not set up for serious bench work and they don't shoot any matches. My other club were we use to shoot a lot of matches had to move and we are still trying to buy some new land.

I shot my 52D and considering the bench and my hard time getting comfortable it did OK. I had been told that after a number of rounds that the chamber would start to get tight from the Wax on the bullets and mine did after around 80-100 rounds. Running a patch down the bore will take care of it. I wonder if this will be less common in Hot weather.

I will try my Anschutz next, that really likes Lapua.

Here are a few targets, not the best, but..... for the price, I like it.

It gets weird sometimes with pictures not showing.
I forget who it was here, but someone said to just "Quote" the message, and they show up.
