Default South Store Report (tomorrow) & TMP Store Report 06/06/2018

I made the trip to the West Store today to check inventory.

There were 32 rifles present and there has been no restock..

WRA SG, 5/FG 13/RG 1. No Win-13’s or WRA barrels. One low #126xxx.

SA FG, 10. Two low numbers 484xxx, 629xxx.

WRA M1D, RG 3

New M1 Reproduction slings, 10.43

About 90% had hackberry stocks with lots of them the reddish orange stocks.

There were a few WWII barrels, no cartouches.

Good luck on your searches.

"Hackberry" I assume is the type of wood used for the stock?

Hackberry firewood is a moderate density and moderate BTU hardwood. It doesn't have the heat that oak and hickory have, but still burns well and is a popular hardwood to burn. It can be stringy but it usually splits easily. It burns with a mild pleasant fragrance and doesn't pop much.

For quite a bit of info on re-finishing a hackberry stock (two pages worth...) go to this thread on the High Road...
