Default We spoke....CMP listened!

BIG WEEKEND JUST DAYS AWAY!

Saturday - 1000agg XTC match.

Sunday - 3x600...
Greg D. and I have been lobbying CMP to host a midrange match at TMP. Similar to F-Class but you can shoot about any rifle you show up with! There are different classifications so you will be competing against rifles similar to yours (Service Rifles against other SR's, heavy bolt guns, bipods, rear support, etc against the same, etc). All shooting is done on your belly at 600. Some shooters can't shoot offhand or just don't like it but still want to compete. This is the match for you!

It is a fun match! Try to make it.

How many like the idea of more Mid-Range type matches?
They are great ways to improve your skill, especially for XTC/EIC matches.

The winners of the Match will be awarded Certificates.
-Overall Service Rifle Winner
-Overall Match Rifle Winner
-Overall F-Open Winner
-Overall F/TR Winner

SANCTIONING & RULES:
This is NOT an NRA or CMP sanctioned match.

-Service and Match rifles will use the MR-1 600 Yard Target
-F-Open and F/TR will use the MR-1FC 600 Yard Target

Service & Match Rifles will use: CMP High Power Rules, 2018 edition
F-Open & F T/R Rifles will use: the NRA High-power Rules 2018 version.

Please note:

Hi,

Are there any HP rifle matches where there is no prone position?

I have a back injury and arching up to use the prone position is incredibly painful so no go.

A recent rule change allows a more difficult position in lieu of prone (or sitting) in many matches. Check the rule books. Shooters are allowed to fire entire matches simply substituting sitting or offhand for the prone phases. Good Shooting. ...
