Default RRA National Match Trigger - Failure and Repair

I don't know if anyone here has had an issue with their RRA NM trigger, but I thought I'd post a link just in case my video on the subject might be helpful.

Not uncommon for the springs to relax and then the trigger not make weight. Have had to help competitors disassemble and bend springs on more than a few occasions in order to make weight at an EIC match.

My loaner rifle has a RRA NM trigger. After a year or two it just stopped making weight one day. I ended up using a JP Enterprises SR spring kit and stoning a few of the surfaces and now it's one of my favorite triggers.

Just to frame the issue....no other manufacturer trigger with use ends up failing the weight test ? Rock River is the only trigger with this trend ?

Just curious...how many rounds fired till this phenomena begins to show up ?

Sorry, but I canít answer your question. The video I made about my trigger had nothing to do with it failing to make weight. Iím not entirely sure how that topic became part of this conversation.

I have a RRA 2-stage in my match rifle. I actually like it better than my Geissele triggers. BUT....it won't make the 4.5# for SR. It will make the 3.5# for match rifle though.

If you contact RRA, they should be able to rectify that trigger for you. Thereís a good chance you got the springs for the (3.5 lb) varmint trigger.

I had the same issue last year. I like my RRA trigger a lot... and I like the price I paid for it. But it failed to reset at home a couple of weeks before Perry so I had to buy another one from my LGS. When I took the new one to Perry it failed to make weight.

RRA fixed the old one but now it weighs 5.6 lbs. Breaks good, though. I use it on a range rifle. The other one I bought new they replaced at Perry with a 4.5 lb. one.

So when RRA triggers work they're great... but they do develop problems sometimes for sure.
