Default Rock-ola stock question

Can the Rock-ola cartouche (RMC) and cross cannons be horizontal (with the grain) on the stock, or were they only vertical?

Vertical. It's believed the horizontal is a direct copy out of Harrison's book. Which is known to have errors.

What do you mean "a direct copy out of Harrison's book"? That the stock is a copy or fake?

If the acceptance stamp is not vertical, it's a fake.

I have seen a low wood Rockola stock that had the stamping in a horizontal orientation. I was sorting through about 500 stocks that had not been messed with. They were stocks that came out of Anniston, AL during the chopping days of the Clinton days. A good friend now has that stock. It is legitimate. Don't know about yours, but I know some were stamped that way.

Rock-Ola used a one piece acceptance stamp applied vertically through the 6 million range. I am not familiar with any original Rock-Ola carbine that used a two piece horizontal acceptance stamp. If you have the opportunity, it would be great to see a photo.

This looks like it cud be a 1 piece stamp. The only thing thatade me question it was that it was horizontal instead of vertical. Also did rock ola ever make a pot belly stock?

Rock-Ola did not use the pot belly M-2 stock. I would also like to see a picture of yours please.
