I took home two Kimbers and two 7.62. On the Kimbers, one had a nice dark marble stock, no rust and a light knife cut on the butt. The other was a blonde stock with no rust and no cut. The 7.62 were both SA receivers, both had 65 barrels. One receiver was 399,145 and the other I only remember was from the summer of 44. One had an ME of 1 and the other was right at a 2.

The was a Mod 0 there (sleeved) that was from 1941, and the gentleman that showed it to me said the barrel and receiver were probably original. The ME was a 3+

Overall it was a fun day. Everybody was playing nice and helping everyone. We were all cutting up. While I am only 45 mins from the store, I haven't been in awhile and today I remembered how much fun it is.

Did you see any of the Kimbers that were really bad...rusty? What was the worse case that you saw? Sounds like you got 2 nice ones.

I didn't see any that were rusty. Granted I don't know what is under the stock. Some of them looked like that had rust, but it ended up being wood/dirt. I looked at probably 15-20 Kimbers. Some had bad knife cuts and some were very faint. The blonde I took home was the only one I saw w/o a cut. Those are the two reason I chose it:no cut and a blonde stock

You're welcome. I had all but the blonde shipped. I needed something to play with till the others arrived. I will try to get pictures up tomorrow.
