Default Uncut OpRod

The HRA I just received from CMP came with a -9 SA uncut oprod. Does this have any value to it? I've considered looking for an HRA rod but the high prices have kind of dissuaded me, but maybe if this SA rod has some value I could recoup some of it.

It does have a value...and I’m sure someone would like to swap a HRA rod for
that one!!

IME only the curved-side -9 oprods have any add'l collector value; the uncut flat-sides are pretty common and don't have any premium, from what I've seen.

Op Rods and Garand parts in general are selling at a all time low. Its a buyers market

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like mine's a straight side. Really don't feel a need to change it out yet if there's not much collector value.
Yeah I get the buyers market lately, my ammo pile this year confirms it.

Still worth $135-150 or so, Id think you could trade it for a HRA rod no problem

This has been my observation as well.

What's your serial number on that HRA? Could be correct to the rifle. Early HRA used some S.A. parts.
