Default punch mark on bottom of Garand front sight

Which manufacturer added punch marks on the bottom of the front sight?
Pictures can be seen here.

Punch marks are usually associated with Winchester, but not always as others did hardness tests. The best way to identify it is by measuring the width between the ears. See below data. For the record I copied and pasted this and didn't draft it myself.

--- WWII ---
SA
.625 (5/8th) to .687 (11/16th) inches
.625 is most common

WRA
.812 inches (13/16th)
Typical punch mark
Typical rough machine work

--- Post war ---
SA late
.625 (5/8th) to .687 (11/16th) inches
.670 and wider more common?

HRA
.700 to .791 range

IHC
.875 (7/8th) inches
Widest of all known sight variations

--- National Match ---
Marked NM
.062 wide sight post

the ears measure .735 side to side and the machining is smooth.
My guess on the punch mark on the bottom is for a rockwell hardness measurement and it is an HRA.
