Patiently waited for the BWT to show. Snapped some pictures quickly then ran off to work.

Inspired by the awesome Garands in here, I felt the need to share. Picked this up last month from the CMP

first post!

I was shipped this guy about three weeks ago. This is the as-received condition. There was quite a bit of something like nail polish on the metal bits. I guess this is cosmoline? Only acetone took it off.

1954 HRA receiver, '54 HRA barrel in the white 2+/2+, HRA bolt, HRA rear sight, SA trigger group, IHC op rod, and a WW2 stock with RIA FK on the left side, circle P on handle, and a bomb stamp behind the receiver heel.

Overall, i'm very happy with the luck of the draw. Really digging the stock.

Looks like you got a LEAD stock. Look for an orange triangle on the pistol grip. Might use it for trade bait for the correct stock for your rifle.

Looks like you did well....Congrats!

Yeah, I will get a better picture of that after I pick it from the FFL this week. Stay tuned.

I took it apart yesterday and took a few pictures of the bigger parts.

The Trigger group looks brand new to me...or at least barely used. I welcome anyone else's thoughts.

PS--I know some parts still need a good cleaning.

Totally forgot to get a picture of the triangle. It appears to be printed/painted onto the stock and not stamped. It's faint and under some dried crud I need to figure out how to get off without damaging the wood.
