It was a pleasure meeting you this morning Tom. Although I didn't find the USMC build I was looking for today, I was still happy to come away with a WW2 sling for $6 and the two guys I came with came away with two nice rifles.

I bought a nice 4.2M at the south store a couple years ago. It had a matching serial numbered USMC maintenance tag. I had it shipped home and much to my dismay the tag was gone when it arrived. I'm still kinda bummed about it.

Default Thursday closing report

The store inventory remains strong with 65 rifles remaining of the 75 this morning.

IHC SG/FG, WRA SG, CMP Specials .308 and SA 6 million remain strong and store should be restocked by opening. There were 2 IHC SGs, with a JLG and another with A4 stocks as well as three with IHC stocks remaining.

Only a total of 4 bayonets remain?? Not sure if they will be restocked by opening? Few cotton slings..

Good luck on your searches.

Forgot to mention earlier, the WRA rifle my friend picked up had a WRA barrel on it. I'm disassembling it have noted the following so far:

Receiver - 2,464,XXX (Dwg # D28291-2), capital serif "U" on underside of heel. Nice, uniform gray park with no pitting noted.

Clip latch - "A" marked with gray park that is consistent with receiver

Barrel - WRA barrel in the white, with sideways "F" and upside down "7", along with a punch mark and the P over W logo. Haven't checked under the handguard yet. Hang-tag readings of M.E.=1+ (~1.75) and T.E.=2+ (Just under 3) were confirmed with personal gauges.

Trigger group - D28290-8-SA housing, C46008-8 SA hammer

Bolt - 6528287 HRA *U*

Op rod - D6535382 IHC

Rear sight - Beretta "PB" marked windage, Frazier Manufacturing Co. "FZR" marked M14 elevation. Winchester aperture

Front sight - WRA

New CMP wood

Thumbs up Thanks Tom!

I really enjoy reading your inventory reports and the chatter they generate. My friend Donna was there today and got a very nice svc grade IHC and a post war collector HRA. I was green with envy sitting here 2,500 miles away...will probably come back in the Springtime so please keep the reports coming!
