Default Optic for an AR

Well, I'm throwing in the towel and adding an optic to my AR for this year's High Power season. If anyone is interested in the scope I selected and my rationale for that choice, the link below will take you to my video:

I looked at Leupold but ended up going with the Vortex PST 1-4x. I'll probably wait for after Perry this year to make the switch though.

side note: don't forget to add the rail sections to your handguard from the video

I would prefer to leave them off. Is there any requirement for them to be attached?

One of the more poorly written new rules, among many.....

It only applies to non-A2 handguards:

I recently found your videos on YouTube and wanted to say thanks. You explain things very well. Asset to the sport.

Thank you! I'm just a shooter with a background as a firearms instructor. The videos are just an extension of my being an instructor. I'm flattered they are so well received. I had a lot of people up at Camp Perry this year saying Hi, and introducing themselves. That was great! I am also very cognizant of the fact that I am representing American firearms enthusiasts to viewers around the world, and I take that very seriously. I try to present the best image I can. Let me know if you think of any way I can do better!

Howard
