Default Windage Adjustable Front Sights

I've been browsing online at white oak and compass lake service rifle barrels and I've noticed they have windage adjustable front sight bases, with a link to one below. Any of you guys use one and have any issues with it? Has it taken any "hard knocks" and moved or come loose? Any thoughts/opinions on them one way or the other?

They are pretty sturdy, but not immune to really hard knocks. I had an upper take a tumble once and it knocked the FSB askew, requiring a re-zero.

I've probably gone through 15+ uppers over the last 14 years and have never had an issue with the adjustable sight base. Once you get the windage set and the set screws are tight, use brake cleaner to remove any grease/oil from the set screws, blow it out with compressed air and use green loctite on the screws. I also use the green loctite on the front ring of the gas block for added security. Don't use it on the rear ring, it will seep into the gas hole.

So have any of your uppers taken a hard knock?

A couple of times; like falling off the cart and hitting the gas block. Never knocked them off zero. Once the screws are tightened, they are pretty much like any SR gas block.
