I have the deluxe with the big pouch on side (olive drab) and it is very nice. Also have the one with 2 mag pouches on side and it is nice too. Both of my post ban w/ A2 stocks and optics fit in either one.

Wow the old Assault Systems cases. I remember seeing their mail order ads back in the 80's. Friend had one and as I recall it was a very nice item.

Is Uncle Mikes still around? Their cases were good quality.

The Creedmoor soft case is very good quality, lots of padding and the backpack style straps are great if you have to pack across the course. Fits my A2 rifles perfectly, but haven't tried anything with optics yet.

Grade 1 is brand new, Grade 2 is over 90% condition. When they come back in stock, they are the last soft case you'll ever own. This is the updated Model 1950 rifle jump case (I have the orig. canvas model and been using it for 47 years) and I bought two of the Grade 1 when on sale at $30 w/ free shipping. THey arrived brand new and are incredible cases for protecting rifles. My M14, M1, NM AR, M4's ..all fit these cases.

These cases are over built for the task. You won't find a soft case that is superior. If you want a better rifle case, you'll have to go hard case and go the Pelican $300 route. The most rigor my rifles get is the trip from gun safe to firing line...these cases protect rifles easy for my purposes.

Here is a site that has them shipped for $50. The photos shown do illustrate the quality of these jump cases and high tier of construction. The jump hardware easily removes off the case. My days of jumping with a rifle are probably over as are yours !! Anyhow...for $50, shipped, this is still a heck of a deal:
