Default What's your sling preference?

What's your sling preference?

You a web sling shooter or a M1907 sling gunner?

I personally love the Turner Slings.

I got used to it and love it.

VERY STABLE.

I began high power/M1 shooting with a MRT 52 web sling about 7 years ago, these were the very excellent NOS thick weave web slings from Collectors Source, back when Jeff had tons of great surplus stuff. Maybe 2 years later, switched to a Turner 1907 sling and liked it better, it just seemed easier to lock in to a more solid position for prone and sitting. A couple years ago, I picked up several Ron Brown slings on Holiday sale at Creedmore, the thicker leather is even more rock solid for position building.
Now I'm about a year into an 18 month wait for a couple of custom made Les Tam slings. So yes, I like a nice 1907 leather sling.

Very much like the NM 1907 sling by Turner Saddlery. The standard Turner 1907 is excellent in every way. I simply like the NM better for match use. Sincerely. bruce.

I used a biothane sling for my first 1 1/2 years of highpower. It was functional and solid, but always felt a bit claustrophobic when I was in it. Was a pain to get out of, and left marks on my arms. Now using one of the generic leather M1907 slings Creedmoor sells and I love it. Easy in, easy out, solid and accurate. I'm sure turner, Ron Brown etc are excellent, but for the money, the Creedmoor works well for me. Holds adjustment through rapids and 20 rounds of slow prone.
