Ron Brown slings for all of the rifles I compete with except a Turner Biothane on my MM rifle. I know some guys swear by a GI sling though.

A couple years ago, I picked up several Ron Brown slings on Holiday sale at Creedmore, the thicker leather is even more rock solid for position building.
Now I'm about a year into an 18 month wait for a couple of custom made Les Tam slings. So yes, I like a nice 1907 leather sling.
Similar story here except that I transitioned from the Collectors' Source "thick" web slings to a John Weller M1907 sling that I just love. Sadly John is no longer with us; I'm not sure what I'll do when it's time for a new one.

I also have a Ron Brown M1907 sling on one of my AR's. It's nice but not quite as substantial as the John Weller sling.

Les Tam. If I ever wear one out, Ron Brown.

He's not easy to find. Took me 4 months to get one of his slings. May take 6 months to my next one. I can ask to see if I can get two. I've heard of guys using his slings to pull deer out of the woods.

The turner biothane in the Jim Owens no pulse configuration is very solid and easy to use. Stays where you put it- set it and forget it. One less variable to deal with- in my mind anyway.

I started with a biothane sling. Not knowing any better I loved it for what it did for me. Once I tried a real leather sling I took the biothane sling out back and burned it.

Now I use the Ron Brown slings and love 'em. A good web sling works very well too w/o the cost.
