Default Going rate for 1903A3s

What is the going rate for 1903A3 these days? Looking for a 03A3 to use as a shooter in CMP matches. Any recommendations? I am also leaning towards a Swiss K31.

Maybe a more direct question is how much should I pay for a shooter 03A3? Are there any manufacturers I should gravitate to or stay away from? I

Not sure if you saw this posting, but think this is a starting point for a "shooter" 03A3 that is not a collector rifle.

There was only two manufactures of 03A3's....Remington and Smith Corona. Both are well made rifles.

Remington is generally less expensive than SC and either can be good shooters. You can stay under 800. Even less with a recovered drill Rifle. 2, 4, or six groove does not matter. Get a good bore and a good crown.

$600 to $800 should get you a decent shooter.

The only caveat I'd throw in for the recovered drill rifles is that they appeal to a smaller market which may weigh in on any selling price if you ever decide to sell.

Is $850 too much for a good condition Remington 1903A3?
