My records have the later SGS's @ $950 + $25sh, from ?late2012? through mid-2013.

Availability dwindled out during the first half of 2013; with SA running out first & HRA being available for much longer (when I was able to get mine).

I always wondered if there were fewer SA's in the second release than HRA's, or that the SA's were just more popular ?

What do these go for on the open market? $1500? or so? More? Less? I literally have never seen one until now.

I think the cheapest sgs i have seen was around 1100, with corrected wood go for 1400-1500.

Thats very inline with what I was thinking. They are just really nice. It's always the correct wood that seems to make and break everything. LOL.

My question. If you bought one did you clean it up and shoot it? How was the accuracy? Anyone seen one in the wild? Are these collectible or just expensive nice shooters?
I bought one of the HRA SG Specials that has a LMR barrel. I replaced the CMP stock with a nice HRA stock set. The rest of the parts were all HRA correct. It is like new. I waited until they were about gone before i decided to get one and payed $950.00.

What stock would be correct for these? Just a regular DAS/P proof post war stock?

Depends. On the HRA side I saw a wide serial range, but most would take either the 3/8" or 1/2" DAS

The Springfields were all post war, so I would imagine they would have the 1/2" DAS

Its a Springfield 5.8 Million.

Hypothetical question. Wont CMP Proofed stocks 20 years from now or more be considered collectible because that's how they sold the rifle? OR is that crazy. Kind of like Arsenal Rebuilds are correct unto themselves. ?
