Default My one and only Garand...

My M1D Garand... bought in Oct 2010 from CMP and managed to get all the original accessories together by the spring of 2011. Scope, scope mount, flash hider (I managed to get one of each on Black Monday) and cheek pad are original GI issue from period (circa 1952).

Rifle shoots terrific with 3 shot 100 yd group using Hornady match ammo. Wonderful rifle and highly recommended.

Looking down range at 300 yards

100 Yard 3 shot group

300 Yard Target

Finally got her done. All USGI accessories except the the sling. I bought it at the North store in April of 2010. I believe it has an annealed receiver. Hard to see in the pics.

Default M1D Pics

I finally got mine complete (minus flash hider). It is a SA 2906027 finished with nice green park. SA 6-52 barrel w/ M1D drawing number on top underneath rear handguard. MW is 1.0 and TE is 2.0. Barrel is mirror bright w/ no pitting and the crown is in great shape. Very nice shooting rifle. Stock has very faint DOD marking and open box SA w/ RA stamp. Serifed P on pistol grip. All accessories are USGI.
