Rob, your killing me! I'd say gorgeous but would only display my grasp of the obvious. Nicely done..

Here's a pic of when I first got my M1C. it has a modern G&H base and mount topped with an old Weaver K4. I decided to take off the GI base for now because G&H fitted their base with the mount and I personally lack the skills to do it myself.

Here's a more recent pic with my new reproduction M84.

I wanted to show my M1c and D but can't find all the photos!

What I have uploaded is a few closeup photos of the Cheekpads on the stocks.

I'm fairly sure both cheekpads are USGI but interested in any opinions on that and how I have them installed.

Thanks!

The dark one, 3-59, is a fake.

OK, I believe you, what tells you that it’s fake? It’s not a recent fake or if it is someone went through a bunch of effort to age it.

It looks the part enough so I’ll leave it on until I can replace it with a USGI one.

I agree, I think the 3-59 is fake. I don't think the originals had "MRT" and the date embossed into the leather, it was ink stamped.

Also, the stitching doesn't end in the typical triangular pattern present on authentic cheek pads.

Makes good sense to me, fortunately the price was right as it was a gift.

I'm still wondering WHEN it was made because the other repros are clearly new leather and this was either on a rifle for a good while or someone went to more trouble than it's worth to age this.

Thanks to all

Here is my WRA M1D. Since it came in a CMP stock I decided to make it my shooter with reproduction accessories. Can not wait for the weather to get a little better so I can take it to the range.

I picked up a DCM Lottery M1D from a forum member back in 2015. It's a 6 69 Tooele conversion. I love the silvery park finish with the rich orange-brown GI birch.
And the fact it was in the last group of US armory made M1D's, never issued and put away into storage
Very happy to have it, and over due adding it to this thread!
