            Elgen = Gods country

            Truely just the finest area for mountians and farmers medow's in timber country, I wish i got to travel there more ED, How ever Bend is real nice as well!
            In Umatilla all we have is Sagebrush, sand and a whole lot of heat in the summer and lots of cold days in the winter. I am lucky enough to live above the McNary Dam so its not to far for me to see some nice Columbia River.

              And maby you can catch a cool breeze off the river in the summer when it's hot enough to melt the rubber off your tires. Good shooting.

                North-Central Oregon - Hood River/The Dalles

                Hi Everyone,

                Just received a CMP Special M1 Garand so I can shoot something of my own in the CMP Clinics at The Dalles Rifle & Pistol Club. Have shot the club's Garands several times.

                        Jeff, I think the clinics are open to the public, but I am new to the club so the person to contact for questions regarding guest access and details for the CMP clinic would be Jim Bisset, (541) 298-1240. The next CMP meets on Sunday, August 8 at 7:30 a.m. at the outdoor range. The range is located East of The Dalles near the Petersburg School. The GPS coordinates of the range are 45.6163, -121.0783. Type or paste these coordinates into the "fly to" search bar on Google Earth and it will show you where it is.

                          New to milsup rifles. I made the plunge and bought two SG Garands last month and I am waiting on my Paratrooper Carbine to be shipped.

                          Oh yea, I live in Crooked River Ranch and would love to get together for a shoot.
