Exclamation

Maybe. Doubtful. What's pictured appears to be a Birch rebuild DAS marked stock, not a Post War Walnut stock. So, it's worth about the $75 they are asking.

It states in the description they are walnut stocks....
Quote:
G.I. Walnut stock sets. 1953 to end of production vintage stocks with a defense acceptance stamp cartouche. The stocks of many dings dents and bruises but no cracks or repairs, the hand guards are complete with metal components, they will closely match the butt stock. Both hand guards could have hairline cracks. The stock set pictured is an example, no two are exactly alike.

I like the $100 sets they have available better. Also they have handguard sets for $25. Handguard sets are harder to come by.

Didn't read, just looked...duh moment. :-) They picked a bad stock to picture because it has very definite Birch characteristics.

Me too, but at least you know your getting a SA DAS stock. With the $100 ones its kind of a toss up

Actually, I am just hoping to get one that has the Navy 7 digit rack number. It will be perfect for my Navy Mk 2 mod 1 rifle.

So does the wording of the ad mean we should not expect any SA 60’s rebuild stamped stocks?

Mr. McCoy - thanks for the heads up. At that price, it's worth the "luck of the draw" to change out the Hackberry on a rack grade rebuild I'm working on to make a .308 shooter.
