Smile 1906 bayonet

Hello,
This is to the person who has 1903 S/A rifle S/N 113588. I found your bayonet and scabbard. The rifle and bayonet came out of the armory together and you wonder how these two got separated.

The separation was easy. They just threw them into a barrel and issued them out as the soldiers came to draw them.

Bayonets and rifles were not serialized as a set. The serial numbers are independent of each other so a matching set would just be an odd coincidence.
