Default WRA, WIN-13, M1D, Service Grade, what a package.

Got a feeling this is rifle is going to get expensive since its Service Grade, M1D, Winchester WIN-13 receiver. Getting a lot of holes in a collection filled with just one rifle.

They are sneaking thing up on the auction as it wasn't there at 0100. And neither were several other items.

Bet it wasn't cleaned. So it could have crud in the barrel.

I don't even know what to say to that.

If you're not going to take the time to describe something, what's the point.

Guys - I've not gotten into winchesters at all yet. This is unique on several fronts. What might the WIN-13 receiver be worth by itself? Also - confused by the lacquer on this stock. Not what I'd expect for a M1-D from the field. Thoughts?

Two years ago they were going for an avg of $3,600 based on these four ranging from $2,700 to $4,800. 3 had HRA stocks and one had a nice WRA stock with 'SA', 'RA' stamps going for $2,700,...

Should be interesting to see how high this one goes.

Just a thought, if this rifle was used for its intended purpose, whether in training or real world, why would it be wearing a shiny stock set? That's the last thing a sniper would want. I'd be willing to bet the stock set was replaced at CMP. No matter, it is sure to bring a fortune for CMP to use in their mission...more power to them.

I was thinking the same thing, but if the CMP did indeed throw the stock on it, why would they have had a glossy sniper stock? It had to be a display rifle for front office stuff, maybe for a school house, or at least that's my guess.
