Default More 1903A3s please

With 1903A3s hitting the stores in small quantities, would it be possible to get a few on the auction block now and then please?

I've been wanting to get a "service grade" A3 for awhile, but don't have time to make the long drive to the SS, and agents are a no-no now.

I've been watching GB for one that tickles my fancy, but if I am going the auction route, I rather go the CMP one.

Being over 10hrs away from either store, I second that emotion.

Default A3s

I respect the "CMP support" sentiment, however, if cost figures into the picture, and you can't afford to get to a store, GB,etc, is the way to go at the moment. A good number of quality 03-types out there. Most of the store(s) rifles will be going to the usual places.

It is not a matter of affording getting to the store. The overhead of the trip is about ~$500, which I don't consider very much money. Its all about the time to get to the store; 14 hours one way drive. I did that drive back in 2012.

If I am going to spend $500 and 3 days to get to the SS, I can just pay the $500 premium for an auction rifle I am happy with and save the 3 days, not to mention avoid the risk of not finding something I really like at the store and settling on what's available at the time.

The word "afford" is not limited to $ when I used it.
Do your thing.

You hear a lot of chatter about the high CMP auction prices. But, this is a very valid point!!

Agreed. Would love for it to have a USGI stock, but I do like its a 4 groove barrel. The rest of you stay out of this one, its mine.

Thanks Ghost!

I agree with paying premium rather than travel costs, but would pass on a repro stock.
