Default Picked up a nice M14A2 EA/HRA

I picked up a nice Enterprise / HRA M14A2 Rifle. All USGI except the receiver. Took her for a spin on Monday. I dig it. I primarily shoot Garands for competition and fun but this M14A2 shoots very well. Got this from another shooter at my match club in N. Ga. (Riverbend) Its had a trigger job, Shimmed the gas system and NM front sights. Has a real nice 62 HRA barrel. Has that fake selector that looks neat. I also like the HRA stock.

Thanks! it took me exactly 35 shots to get her dialed into the Bull and 10 ring. PPU M80 works well. I am going to bump up the bullet weight and see what she can do over at the Talladega Marksmanship Park. I like to air out my rifles to 600.

Forgive my ignorance.......... but what does the "A2" designation mean?

What variant does that describe? Hows it different from a "regular" M1A?

Thanks!

Its the designation stamped on the receiver from the manufacturer. That's all I can tell you. Maybe some of the m1A Guru's can chime in.
