Which kit would look best on a M-14F standard rifle?

Has anyone tried to use USGI parts, selector and connector, to create their own "dummy" kit.

That's exactly what Hawk has done.

So... is the "Economy Kit" just a button and bracket that installs in the stock that fills the selector cut-out sans the additional parts like connector arm etc. ?

You could always as Hawk. I only use the Full Ambi kits so I have no idea what an economy kit even is.

I got one of the economy kits just to fill the hole in the stock the other day. Haven't taken i out of the box yet. He shipped it really quick. Will post some pics of it here when I get it installed this week.

Hawk is a great guy in addition to being a Marine.
Hope to shoot with him in the next month on my range in CT.
Just picked up about 75lbs of USGI parts at Camp Perry for him to use in the construction of his kits.

Well checked out the economy kit on my lunch break today. Pretty straight forward. 2 screws 4 washers for spacing. Easy deal. I am going to mark the stock and drill a couple pilot holes to avoid any split wood just to be safe. Going to do it this evening so I can officially call this rifle done. Will post a couple pics.
