Is there a required membership in the CMP to shoot in and be eligible for points in an EIC match? Or is it simply a matter of showing up with a proper Service Rifle (I shoot that class in NRA), competing and having your scores turned in to the CMP (if you make the cut) to qualify for leg points?
Thanks.

Correct...all you need to do is show up with a legal Service Rifle and compete. There is no required membership in the CMP to compete in EIC matches. Once you compete, the CMP will issue you a competitor number. All scores are sent in (whether you make the cut or not) since the number of non-distinguished scores sent in dictates how many Legs can be awarded.

There is a space for it on the EIC score sheet, but most don't remember it. The CMP will track you down by name and DOB and enter the score whether or not you put down your competitor number.

Good luck and good shooting.

You will however be required to fill out an
"Eligibilty Affidavit and Liability Agreement" that must be notarized.

See below for more info:

Not a big deal, but it is required the first time.
