    Stock ID ?

Did the Overton replacement stocks have numbers under the stock ferrule? I have a stock that has a lot of WIN features but no evidence of any cartouche or proof firing. I am thinking it may be an Overton because it just looks too nice!

    Thanks

I have never seen an Overton stock with numbers under the ferrule. Any way you can post some pics?

              Winchester isn't Overton. Correct me.

I'd say that is one of those Winchester replacement stocks. Damn thing looks totally unused. Nice piece!

This stock is a Winchester Replacement stock. I talked with a worker some years back and he said they continued after WWII for a bit making stocks just for SA's rebuild program. You will find these as mint stocks with no cartouche. Hope this helps. Rick B
