I installed a replacement front sight on my Tisas M1911A1 clone. Bought an NOS front sight on Ebay along with the tool from Brownell's;

I'm not a smith but I enjoy learning, and I enjoy doing this kind of work. This was, in my opinion, an easy repair.

Excellent!
I had to smile when I read your first post about shooting some good groups until the front sight departed the slide. Same happened to me.
The stock sights may seem small until the front one isn't there any more.
